random

pay no attention to the men behind the curtain.

it;s just fun some times to say things and not know what they mean. the other day i was talking with a coworker and i actualy spouted off a string of acronyms that i had once heard. he got confused and just asumed i knew what i was talking about after that. though hopefull after i had fixed his computer he got onto google and found out how full of it i really was. things like gdp, ssd, and ram almost seem to fit but there is always that odd one out. talking about odd ones out. i'm reminded of my instiutionalized racist math teachers... you might be thinking "but how can math be racist" and the answer is in the questions. "of the four objects which doesnt belong" "apple, orange, banana, the black guy" you see. thats how it can be racist. now of course i'm drawing conclusions and if you know me well you'll realize that my artistic abilities are actauly quite poor. although i was able to convice a proud father that his son had drawn a picture containing an ocean, a yeallow submarine (including four singers who cant spell), a dragon and an island with an industrial facility on it. i was quite impressed with my work. by the way. the one i always for get is george harrison. a name i will never forget again. because i have made a conection with previously stored knowledge. vanessa told me that you only learn 4% new material. i cant remember a time limit on that but i'll asume it means in a session. and to succed that percentage you need to be able to conect ideas to other ideas. because no thought is an island, rather they are some sort of web of information and thats why statiscal study's show that if you ask for a color and a tool most people with think of a red hammer. i supose this shows a deeply surpressed blood rage of sorts. because really a hammer is a very 1st century type of tool. although many people prefer one tool to another it's not really important. because the problem at hand will or should dictate the tool you need. and thats why it's important to specify what the task is. because if the task is open the box. then a hammer might just do the trick. but if the task is to open the box with out ruining it or the things inside. well that requires a very different tool. maybe even a key. and hopefully you brought the rainbow key with you other wise you have to spend the next 20 mins pushing things around trying to find the right key. and really why cant life be more like video games. i mean what is really so bad about them? and what are many people refusing to learn from them. example. i was playing oblivion, yes a wonderfull game, and i know it's not the only one of its type but the journal thing. keeping trak of your quests and such. its incredible. i dont know how many seminars and such i;ve gone to that never once got the point acrossed so clearly. write things down and read your list then they get done, otherwise it's forgoten before you can get to home. also games have helped me to learn to prioritize. should i always go after the power ups, or should i worry about taking out my enimies? things like that have perfect place in the real world. hould i study and do well in a class in which i'll be graded against every one else. or should i try to make them do as porly as me? and of course games teach us that with the help of a magical sword or two any one can be the hero.. or the bad guy. okay so thats really not that important. but i just thought i would share.
